Bio
Dr. Lee Hong Moi is an accomplished oncologist with a distinguished educational background and extensive clinical experience. Her journey in medicine began at SMK Sri Sentosa in Malaysia, where she graduated with a perfect CGPA of 4.0. She then pursued her Doctor of Medicine degree at University Putra Malaysia.
Her passion for oncology led her to the University of Malaya, where she obtained a Master of Clinical Oncology. Her commitment to advancing her expertise in radiation oncology took her to Far Eastern Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, where she completed a Clinical Fellowship in Advanced Radiation Oncology Techniques, specialising in SBRT, TBI, TMI, and TSI.
Prior to joining Icon Oncology, Dr. Lee held several key clinical roles, including Consultant Oncologist at Tung Shin Hospital, Registrar and Clinical Oncologist in the Oncology and Radiotherapy Department at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, and Clinical Oncologist at Hospital Sultan Ismail in Johor Bahru.
Dr. Lee Hong Moi is also deeply passionate about cancer research and have led a project on survival after stereotactic radiosurgery/radiotherapy and surgery for brain metastases at the University of Malaya Centre and University of Malaya Specialist Centre. She has served as a co-investigator in several clinical trials, including MK3475 KEYNOTE-181, KEYNOTE-590, MAGNITUDE, MK-6482, CDRB436J12301, and PRL3-zumab.
Alongside her extensive training, clinical expertise, and commitment to research, Dr. Lee was honored with an award from the Ministry of Health in recognition of her outstanding service—reflecting her deep compassion, empathy, and dedication to delivering exceptional care to cancer patients.
Dr. Lee is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Bahasa Melayu, enabling her to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds and ensure they feel at ease throughout their care journey.
Awards & Credentials
- Obtained credentials for external beam radiotherapy, high dose rate brachytherapy for gynaecology cancer and intensity modulated radiotherapy and specialised radiotherapy procedures such as stereotactic body radiotherapy by Hospital KL from July 2023 till July 2026
